The Manic Street Preachers fans Wiki

This site was set up in response to a discussion on the ForeverDelayed.org.uk forum to provide a place for community members to share information, such as setlists, on the rock band Manic Street Preachers - information that was deemed too detailed for Wikipedia. This Wiki uses the same familiar MediaWiki software as Wikipedia.

Where to start?

You can start by searching using the search box on your left. You might choose to search for a setlist, these are stored in in the format "DD-MM-YY City Venue", for example 03-04-05 Southampton Guildhall. To create an article, simply search for something that doesn't exist yet or click on a red link, and you will be asked to create the article. To upload images for use in an article use the Upload file link in the toolbox on the left. A good place to start might be the category pages, for example:

Years: 1989, 1990, 1991, 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010

A full list of categories can be found here. Categories are created simply by assigning a page to them.

Site Security

This Wiki has slightly different security than Wikipedia.

The following rules are currently in force to protect the site, and are subject to review at any time:

• Unregistered users cannot create or edit pages.
• To register or sign in please click here or use the link in the top-right hand corner.
• Vandals and spammers will be BANNED without warning, for a time period of my choosing.
• Key pages, such as this one, are protected from editing.
• Please DO NOT use this site to upload or link to live recordings or "bootlegs" at this time.

I am indebted to the users of the ForeverDelayed.org.uk forum for their inspiration and support. Foreverdelayed has long been arguably the most friendly, diverse and interesting fan forum I have used. If you're not using it already, why not register there too? This site was set up to fill the gap left by the disappearance of staybeautiful.net, a fine reference source, sadly now defunct.
